kaniwa
Tootsi’s Kaniwa is a dark, small seed closely related to quinoa. Unlike quinoa, Kaniwa does not contain saponins (cause bitterness) and does not need to be rinsed before cooking. Kaniwa cooks in approximately 15-20 minutes. Nutty in flavor, Kaniwa can be used in soups, salads, side dishes, baked goods, and more.
