Tootsi’s Organic Wheat Flakes are steamed, rolled, and lightly toasted from whole wheat grains. Wheat flakes can be similarly compared to corn flakes. Wheat flakes are nutty and mild in flavor. When uncooked, wheat flakes are crisp, and tender when cooked. For best results, use a 2:1 ratio (2 cups water, 1 cup wheat flakes) and cook for approximately 15 minutes, or until desired texture. Wheat flakes can be used for breakfast and baking applications.
